Since Punk Rock Hora came out in January, I have tweeted news, articles, and quotes about Jewish punk more than I’ve blogged about them. It’s quicker and easier to share content on Twitter, and often an entire blog post isn’t warranted. I have some blog posts in the works for the weeks ahead, and about 100 blog posts in, I’m not retiring the OyOyOyGevalt.com blog anytime soon. But if you want more updates, follow me on Twitter: @MichaelCroland!
Here is a smattering of my Jewish punk tweets since Punk Rock Hora was published, including many artists featured in that book and Oy Oy Oy Gevalt! I also talk about other topics, especially air guitar, music in general, and vegan food!

On Tue @golemrocks played a Jewish Currents party. I missed it, but I like my friend Rokhl’s take:
“Not nearly as good as my first golem show where the lead singer cut his forehead open, but a good crowd and good energy. Jewish Currents party horas are always too darn big though”— Michael Croland (@MichaelCroland) September 6, 2019

Michael Winograd “is not a dabbler. … He isn’t a punk-rocker looking for a new angle on approaching his songwriting. He IS a klezmer. He knows klezmer. He f*cking blows away the room at klezmer.”

Ezra Furman’s “Jewish punk-folk” album:
“The Judaism is informative but not explicit, but full-on punk dominates …. Few genres can match punk’s capacity to deliver both cathartic howls of rage and succinct summations of complex socio-political issues.”https://t.co/mfQszSgS8Y— Michael Croland (@MichaelCroland) August 30, 2019

“Our Judaism is Punk. Unapologetically expressing our Judaism is an act of defiance. . . . Prayer truly is and must be Punk. As a community, let’s challenge ourselves to embody our Judaism as an act of rebellion.”https://t.co/WRNHE3d5Q2

Baruch Dayan HaEmet: David Berman (Silver Jews)
I tried to interview him in ’14. I never got to ask:
“Punks in the Beerlight” includes the lyrics “Adam and Eve were Jews.” Is there any connection between that line and the concept behind the song title?https://t.co/75HwOHHqIV
